My Project

My school is a Title I school and also happens to be a Magnet School. Many students at our school are homeless.

Help me give my students a calming environment with indoor/outdoor floor flexible seats and soft tree seats to help them self-regulate their emotions and make appropriate choices.

The diverse population found at our school is unique and presents unique needs. Many of these SPED students do not have a safe calming place to work at home. They come to us hungry and with many needs.

Creating the feeling of being outdoors, for students who need a calming retreat and a peaceful atmosphere is my goal for this project. In this environment, students can be free to learn, grow, and develop. I believe that it is essential to provide this safe space for students to increase in academic gains.
