Capture This: Experiences in Photography and Editing

Help me give my students the tools to create fabulous projects from their photos and videos. I want to showcase their differences and imagination! I want them to learn digital editing skills.

My Students

I am a teacher in an after-school program designed to encourage students to explore STEAM activities, careers, financial literacy, and ACT prep. This program In this program, students will be exposed to science, technology, engineering activities, math, and the arts thru projects and guest speakers. Many of these students have not been exposed to STEAM activities like these before. Students will also dig deep into career clusters and opportunities available to them.

This program encourages some of our more diverse learners to focus on areas of STEM, and sometimes STEAM and examine career clusters related to these areas.

By getting this device, students will be able to learn video and photography editing skills.

My Project

Our after school program strives to provide students with experiences they would not otherwise have. Most experiences are STEM/STEAM related as well as College/Career ready themed. Students participate and sometimes have the option of deciding what to do that day.

Each student sees their world in a different way, and I want them to have the tools available to capture their world how they see it.

With a digital camera and this tablet, students will be able to take stunning photos and use them in editing together amazing and award winning projects. This is just one more skill we can share with these students who participate in our after school program.
