My Project
Students in my class lack in skills to read and understand non-fiction texts. They are missing out on the world around them, stuck just in what they know from the community and the limited resources we have. They need a print-rich environment that includes current and relevant information both in paper and digitally.
Current magazines will help bring excitement to my students' learning by building their literacy skills and teaching them about the world they live in.
This project also includes underrepresented cultures in our classroom, helping build much-needed diversity.
