This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I absolutely love teaching preteens! Currently, I am teaching Math and Science to two sections of sixth graders in an urban school district.

In each section there is a suggested maximum of 33 students; however, there are some years that I have had more.

Both classes include a mixture of Special Education students and English language learners (ELL) students.

The range of math abilities amongst my 70 students vary from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Many of my ELL students come directly from countries such as Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Canada, and Africa. It is rewarding to see the growth in all of my students from the first day of school to the very last day. It can be a challenge to meet the needs (both educational and social) of my students every year but it is a challenge that I welcome!

My Project

In today's world, technology is key! Many of our science textbooks are outdated so I use other resources to augment instruction. Due to costs, I am unable to purchase new materials, so IPEVO V4K Ultra High Definition USB Document Camera would be beneficial by allowing me to project what's on the page to the entire class.

Many of my students produce quality work during class.

Having the IPEVO V4K Ultra High Definition USB Document Camera will allow me and my students to share what their quality work in the classroom for their classmates to see and appreciate. I as the teacher, can explain what is expected, but there are many students sitting in classrooms who have a lot to offer and could assist their fellow classmate.

Having access to the IPEVO V4K Ultra High Definition USB Document Camera during Math and Science class could assist other students in their academic learning while fostering conversations across curricula.
