My students are very cheerful and full of life.
I teach four to eight-year-old students with ranging disabilities from Autism, ADHD, Learning Disability, and Emotional and Behavioral difficulties. Most of them are always on the go. Jumping around, exercising, and exploring the environment relieves their stress, boost their mood, and calm their minds. Those are capturable moments!
They like spending time outdoors when the weather permits, but with the current situation, they spend most of their time indoors in small groups. The joy in their eyes when bringing something to life is priceless.
My Project
The requested materials such as a printer, document camera, and foosball set are going to play a major role in accomplishing these goals.
According to Denis Waitley, "A good life is a collection of happy memories." Students learn best when they are involved in enjoyable and motivating ways.
Some of my students come to in-person learning two times a week. These resources would surely be embraced with love and happiness. The requested printer and ink will be used to print pictures of students to showcase learning activities in the classroom. Each student will take home a photo portfolio at the end of the year. Moreover, the document camera will support as we go with our day to day learning. This will be used to display instructional materials to stimulate and to keep students engaged. Lastly, the tabletop game will be used as a reward during our fun activities throughout the week.
I am more than excited to see and hear their laughter as they hang their photographs with big smiles and a twinkle in their eyes. They will surely love to see the print-out of captured memories both at home and in school. The students will be equally excited as materials are projected on the board. And who does not enjoy a tabletop game of foosball during reward time? These requested materials will definitely support engagement and promote learning in my classroom.
