Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a classroom full of diverse learners from various communities! Our classroom is a classroom blended with learners with IEPs and general education students. Once a week, we give the students opportunities to play games in our classroom. This helps build kindness and promote collaboration for the students.
We are asking for a Nintendo Switch and games to go along with it because our students have asked each week for the opportunity to play video games with one another.
Some of these students have not had the opportunity to play video games at home, so this gives them a chance to play with their classmates and practice sharing a "kind space" within our classroom walls.
Playing these games gives students a chance to spread kindness to one another and share experiences that build on their social and emotional health, as well as create everlasting friendships built on kind values.
