it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my student Apple Airpods Max which can be used for a variety of things. I noticed that when I got them a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music it helped so much with grounding and managing their emotions. These headphones will be so helpful in improving focus when we are in a room full of students either completing work or attending a virtual college tour. These have noise cancellation which helps to minimize distractions while working on different tasks with the iPad. These headphones help with sensory regulation and are a creative way of engaging students since they love technology. Students have a variety of different outlets when they are feeling stressed, angry, or sad. Some students like to talk while others enjoy practicing more mindfulness activities which include coloring, drawing, listening to music or being creative.
Our students face so many different stressors, especially within our community.
It is so important that we teach students healthy ways to deal with never ending daily stressors and pressure from society. We can provide our students with healthy outlets to express their emotions. By engaging in healthy coping skills students will feel more confident and be more productive in their day to day lives.
