My Students
My students are unique and hardworking scholars. I teach in a small city in Warner Robins, GA with a 100% free/reduced-price lunch. Most of our students come from the neighborhood around my school, which creates a strong sense of family and community involvement. However, my students still face the additional challenges that poverty can bring. Despite the various challenges that my students and their families face, my students work hard to overcome their obstacles to ensure that they are on a path to success. They are bright, sweet individuals who light up my day every time I see them.

It makes sense to introduce STEM during the time in children's lives when their brains are primed to take in new information. Math and science are often two subjects that give kids the most trouble later in their education.
I would like to assemble STEM Bins for hands-on learning. This requires several items.
They deserve to have access to materials to help them learn through hands-on STEM Bins!
My Project
Having STEM Bins will be a wonderful way my students can explore different materials. The different materials in these bins will expose my students to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical fun!
STEM Bins are an ideal hands-on solution for early finishers, morning work, centers, fine motor practice, indoor recess, teambuilding, calm down centers, Makerspaces, or positive reinforcement of behavior.
They are also a creative and developmentally appropriate form of engineering for elementary students. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give to my students. This would be a great help to their teacher too!
