We need projectors for our science classrooms. Our old technology is broke and we don't have money for new ones.

About My Students
I have AWESOME kids! They ask good questions. They are curious. They want to learn. However, they lack resources.
Kristen, Amanda, Haasnan, Tina all come from families that often do without. However, they have found science fun and can't wait for the next experiment, lab or activity. Many times, these kids will stay after school for an extra experiment or way to show what they know. Hands-on activities are important to this group of kids.
It is difficult to ask our kids to bring extra resources since we are in one of the highest poverty districts in the country. Your blessing is noticed and appreciated by them (and myself!)
Some of our projectors are broke. The school does not have money to replace them. Our classrooms have good document cameras, tablets and another tech for us to learn, but no way for the whole class to learn at the same time.
Some other schools have lots of money. They seem to get all the new tech all the time. If we can get some of ours replaced, it makes us feel like a million bucks.
Getting new tech helps us get ready for life after school. Business and college have all the new gear. If we can learn with new gear, it helps us get ready for life.
In Their Own Words
First goal: get ready for life. Our school has old tech. When we graduate, it will be good to have experience using new gear. My work has new projectors and screens. It took time to learn how to use them. If the school had new gear, it would be easier at work.
Our teacher lets us use the tablets, laptops, cameras, and sketchpads to show others how to do the problems. I really don't like standing in front of crowds. The gear he has lets me hide and still show how to do the problems. Right now, the projector is broken, so I can't show the whole class at the same time.
New projectors are important so we can learn. It's hard for the teacher to show 30 kids at the same time without having working ones. It gets frustrating waiting for kids to wait while he has to show each kid one at a time how to do the problems. I know our teacher will be able to help us so much faster with a new projector.
