Can You Help My Students Solve This Crime?

My students need 3 different kits relating to forensics.

This project is fully funded

Help my students solve the criminal mystery! I teach high school chemistry in a high-needs school district. My students are primarily in grades 10-12.

My students love the popular TV shows such as CSI which involve forensics. My students in this course are more engaged when the learning is hands-on. I would like to provide them with the materials to replicate some of the things they see on TV (and make them realize that crimes aren't always solved in 30 minutes!).

My students would participate in activities which required fingerprinting and lifting fingerprints from various objects and surfaces. Students would also test for "drugs" found at a crime scene. The culminating activity would be the larger kit which incorporates several other techniques to solve the "crime" provided.

Your help will ensure that my students are learning while they are doing something that they enjoy and already have a curiosity about. The students are always talking about the things they see on TV and asking if we can do them. With your help, they can!
