Help me give my students tools so that they learn the muscles in the body to meet Physical Education standards.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wright's classroom raised $221

My Students
Our school is in the largest public school system in California. I teach 5-7 years old that have Autism Spectrum Disorder. The students rely on structured sensory based activities to help them maintain focus and appropriate behavior.
Every student works hard to concentrate, function, and learn at their own pace.
My students love music and movement, movement is a necessity in the classroom to keep them focused. I would love to encourage as much physical activity in my classroom as possible.
My Project
Learning muscles is an essential physical education standard in Kindergarten, First, and Second grade. Teaching students about the different muscles so that they can identify the muscles while they are stretching or doing physical education.
Teaching muscles in class can be boring by listening to the same song and pointing out the muscles, this way they can physically see a model and touch it to identify with the different muscles in the body.
Since all my students have Autism Spectrum Disorder they love for activities to be hands-on, they get excited when they can feel different texture and experience things for themselves. These resources for learning muscles will allow students to be hands on.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
