This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from low income families and many are unable to provide the basic school supplies each year. Many families were unable to provide headphones for electronic devices that we use daily. We use electronic devices daily to help our students learn and show proficiency in all subject areas. Students need to be able to hear their computer programs like i-Ready, I-Station, and EPIC.
Providing each student with a set of headphones to help them focus will help increase test scores as well as decrease distractions and noise level.
Without headphones students struggle to hear questions on assessments. Students struggle with comprehension and focusing with multiple devices talking at once. Having headphones would not only lower noise volumes but it will also give students a chance to do their very best on testing.
