This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Education has sure changed since I was a student. Today, my students require many supplies that they may not have the resources for. One major requirement for my students are headphones. Many of my students have to settle for headphones that do not last the whole school year and rely on teachers to provide them.
The majority of my students come from impoverished homes.
Their parents can not afford to purchase headphones every time they break. My students turn to their teacher for help. By being able to provide headphones, my students will continue to have access to the education they need to succeed.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
