Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
To begin with, I have a great group of students who have made the band program what it is, and who have also made my career a fun one. As we enter the new year, there are some obstacles that will be introduced and I want to be a head of the game pertaining to the longevity of the program. Firstly, our district has been taken over by the state. That is not as big of a problem, being my school is in a high performing zone. Secondly, there are new students who will be joining the program, and I want them to be comfortable knowing them and their parents will be at ease with not paying an exuberant amount of money for equipment.
The use of the items will be simple and straightforward.
Because my students have an issue hearing me sometimes, I would like to have a microphone so that students can hear me clearly. This will give them the opportunity to hear directions perfectly. As always my students need reeds, especially being a few of them are at a financial disadvantage. Lastly, I am always in need of new music. Thus, these pieces of music will help with making more fun for students.
