This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and interested in learning. They are newcomers and are learning English as a second language. They are resilient, generous, and brave. They are always ready to learn, and despite their short comings they always try to do their best.
They are amazing individuals who aspire to greatness and are hungry for knowledge. They are intrigued by science, math, and history.
Our school is a Title I school where all students receive free lunch.
My Project
It is difficult for student to focus on classwork while at school where distractions are minimal. Now imagine how much more difficult it is for them to concentrate on their schoolwork when working from home. The headphones with microphones will allow my students to participate in their virtual classroom without the distractions of being at home.
They can use the headphones to block out noise, so that they can concentrate on the task at hand.
The headphones will also eliminate the “can you hear me?” Or “speak louder, we can’t hear you” comments. The headphone come equipped with a microphone which will allow students to engage in conversations with their classmates in a virtual setting without having to worry that they can’t be heard due to background noise.
The headphones will facilitate online learning and will help reduce distractions.
