This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school in Arizona. Our students come from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. Over seventy percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch daily.
My school's mission focuses on academic, fitness, and personal achievements for both students and staff.
We believe all students can be successful and we try to give them every tool they need to reach their goals. Our staff teaches afterschool clubs throughout the year that range from art and dance to technology and math. We spend time in our classrooms, on announcements, and at assemblies celebrating the fitness and academic successes of our students and staff.
My Project
My students are fortunate to have received Chromebooks from our district. Unfortunately, they do not have quality headphones to use with their devices. My students would benefit from new headphones during reading, math, and writing when they are working alone or in partners on their devices.
On Ear Headphones are a high-quality tool to utilize with our technology.
They will give students a chance to hear and focus on their own work or when using a splitter while working with a partner. These headphones have a microphone built in, which will also help when students need to record what they are reading or explaining.
