My Students
We are a school where behaviors are very challenging. My students lack the opportunity to be successful on the districts reading program iReady because of headphones. My students are required to use the schools computer lab four times a week. The school provides headphones, but once they are broken or destroyed it is up the the individual teachers to ensure their students are successful on the program. My students need their own headphones that they can take to the lab with them. Each student will have a pair of headphones assigned to them individually.
My Project
These headphones will allow my students the opportunity to be successful on their iReady reading and math program. My students will not have to sit at a computer and not be able to hear the lessons because of broken or damaged headphones. The students are required to have 45 minutes of reading and 45 minutes of math weekly. Something so simple can have a spiraling affect on other areas in the classroom. Many students have been denied staffing or other services because they lack the required weekly minutes. There a often times when the students are struggling to hear the lessons.
