Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher to an amazing group of second grade students and in a short time we have formed a bond with each other. I look forward to the warm good morning smiles and greetings from each one as they walk into our classroom.
The school they attend is classified as a Title I school.
All of them qualify to participate in the free breakfast and lunch program. The community in which they live in is stricken by a high level of poverty. This, however, does not affect their desire to please me, which in turn makes me love my job even more so.
My Project
One of the listed items on the school supply list is headphones, however, most of my student's families are unable provide it for their child.
Therefore, the selected headphones will be available for all the students that does not have their own.
I will be able to have these headsets available and ready for them. These items will make it possible for them to have the full effect of the online programs which in turn will better prepare them for their future educational requirements. The headphones will be utilized during the technology block, which includes a reading and math computerized program. My students have little means of just basic necessities and they will definitely benefit from these devices.
