it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with awesome second graders! Our days are spent learning and playing. I strive to make sure my students have an opportunity to play each and every day. Many of my students are English learners. I want to make sure their learning opportunities are fun and authentic.
My students are brilliant and highly-motivated to want to learn.
I am thankful to be able to be their teacher. I want my classroom to become inviting for them. They need to feel wanted, loved, and important. That is exactly the goal that I wish to achieve for them every single day when they walk through my classroom door.
My Project
COVID has presented us new protocols in order to keep students and educators safe. In order to meet in small groups, we are utilizing Google Meet even during in-person instruction.
One obstacle we have run into is having students hear and be heard on Google Meet.
Having headphones with microphones would help to make the transition of small group meetings to online a lot easier. So much time is spent trying to mute or unmute and adjust the volume because of a classmates' computer. They would also be able to concentrate better when using the headphones to help eliminate the background noise. This would also be helpful for my students no matter our learning format.
