My Students

My students are a group of soon-to-be first graders! They are a resilient bunch of kids who spent their last trimester of Kindergarten learning virtually at home. They've had to adjust and transition to a new way of living at just 6 years old. These kids are strong, brave, and so smart! My students are more than deserving of adequate supplies and technology to further support their educational journey.

My Project

Learning at home can be a challenging task, even in the most ideal of settings. It doesn't matter how nicely organized your work space is or how prepared you are for your virtual lessons, distractions are constantly happening around us. Every noise in our environment, from siblings to pets or car alarms to gardeners, can cause an interruption to learning. My goal is to create a tranquil virtual classroom where my students can focus and thrive!

I am requesting a class set of headphones for my students so that extra noises around them will be muted.

Students will wear their headphones during online lessons, while watching educational videos, and playing engaging curriculum based games. Noise reducing headphones will increase focus and participation among students, as well as amplify the voices of their peers and teachers.
