My Students

My students arrive to school excited and eager to learn. They are curious about their world and love learning through fun, hands-on activities. Our school is in a small rural community filled with students yearning to discover new things. On a daily basis I hear, "I love school!"

Educating a child is all about cooperation, collaboration, and communication.

As a teacher, it is my passion to do whatever I can to give all of my students the opportunity to learn through unique experiences. Often they simply need a catalyst to inspire them to exceed expectations. My job as their teacher is to find the sparks to help them discover their talents and the opportunities to grow!

My Project

Students use computers daily to listen to audiobooks and work regularly on recording videos to showcase their learning. Our current set of headphones are older and starting to fail. We need a new set of headphones with and without microphones.

Access to audiobooks allows students to engage with books above their reading level, expands their background knowledge, builds a love of books, and helps them build their working memory.

Similarly, students who are given the opportunity present their ideas using oral presentation projects are able to showcase their knowledge, build confidence in themselves, and construct their thinking. In our classroom, students record and respond their ideas and need headphones with microphones to share what they know and shine like superstars!
