This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Meet my students! They span from 10th to 12th grade and are excited, engaged learners. By enrolling in my new AP program (AP Capstone), they become researchers, critical thinkers, collaborators, and problem-solvers.

My students work hard to develop skills in my class (research, argumentation, collaboration, presentation, etc) that complement the content they learn and develop in their other AP and academic courses.

They look at problems from multiple perspectives and evaluate potential solutions to determine the best course of action.

My Project

Part of this AP program is that the students give presentations to share their research and academic arguments with others.

My students work hard to prepare two presentations (one collaborative, one individual) to give during their AP Seminar year, and another one during AP Research.

Having the appropriate charging cable and microphone will both cut down on technical issues and ensure quality recordings of these presentations (the College Board requires filming and some videos may be audited, and I also use the recordings as models for students in subsequent years). These presentations can then be shared to educate peer groups, serve as models for future AP Capstone students, and highlight students' hard work.
