My Students

Imagine a classroom filled with 100 or more eager students willing to learn in order to become physically fit, moving to powerful music that has to be continuously stopped because they cannot hear their teachers' directions. Help us sustain students' fitness momentum during PE (fitness) classes.

Our young middle school students have endured in life what most adults have yet to experience, but they still have the courage to continue on.

Battling an environment plagued with poverty, drugs and gang violence, our school strives to provide these students with hope and inspire them to succeed. These young brilliant minds have become shackled to the ideologies of poverty. Teachers at our school have dedicated our lives to liberate them so they can be free. Our Physical Education program strives to lessen the prevalence of childhood obesity in our school by instituting a fitness based program including fitness stepping, cardio-kickboxing, obstacle course training, partner exercising, etc.

My Project

The wireless mic system donated will allow the students to hear their teachers over the deafening volume of 100 or more voices of excitement during fitness classes with music played to sustain their momentum. For example, during our step classes music has to be constantly stopped in order for students to hear when we change an exercise or simply switch directions. With the headsets donated, such pauses can be avoided which will help sustain the momentum of each class. Music can be continuously allowed to play while students can clearly hear their teachers as they circle around the class, assisting with each exercise and transition.

Physical Education (fitness classes) will be revitalized by giving every student the opportunity to hear their teachers clearly over the deafening volume of 100 or more excited and energized kids.
