My Students

Our district was caught a little off guard by this pandemic. Our campus shown signs that we really believed we would return to our campus in two weeks. As this was not possible, we went into a scramble mode. As a Title I school we did the very best we could to continue some type instruction for our students. The district mailed out packets and the teachers set up Google Classrooms and called families on the phones.

As we launched Online learning, we learned even more insight about the lack of technology that our students have available.

Some families had laptops, tablets, and internet access. Some had no devices or access to internet service. That meant some of our students were able to continue online with their teachers' instructions, meet for Zoom parties, and attend online field trips and some were not able to do any of these things. Students did have the option of working on packets but did not have interaction with teachers.

My Project

We are doing our best to prepare for Online learning. Last spring taught us that there are a few things our students need to help them a little more. Our students are easily distracted and sometimes outside noises made things a bit more difficult. One thing we can do to help them is by giving them headphones with microphones.

Helping students see and hear will hopefully help them succeed with online learning.

This nine weeks we will be Zooming and Seesawing, and doing our best to give our students quality education. Please consider helping us with this donation.
