My students need a color printer, black/color toner, and copy paper for our classroom.

My Students
They say that a picture is worth 1,000 words; I think that this is true... my students get frustrated when they want to print something for a project, report, or personal use and it doesn't come out right on the Xerox machine at school.
I have a fabulous class of 25 fourth graders in Georgia.
We are a group 50% boys, 50% girls. We are a mixture of all different races, nationalities, and abilities. A large percentage of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch. They are an eclectic mix of students, but they blend well together in the classroom to make each day new and exciting.
My Project
Our school has a great Xerox machine and can rock black and white copies. There are many times, however, when they kids have work that requires a color printer. We do our best with the copy machine, but I feel their frustration at wanting things to be in color.
Having a color printer, toner, and copy paper will allow my students to print their reports, PowerPoint presentations, and science projects in color. I will be able to print math centers, newsletters, homework passes, and the children's pictures with each other in color to create a warm classroom environment. The list of possible uses is far too lengthy to list.... it would change our classroom in such a large way!
Kids are such visual learners and they like to show off their work to others.
Having a color printer, toner, and paper will allow them to feel proud of their finished products and take more ownership of their work. The printer will also come in handy for me to create more kid-friendly center stations, covers for science notebooks, and incentives for the kids (homework passes, certificates, etc.)
