My students need board games to play and learn math at the same time. Math CAN be fun, and with these games everyone will learn the fun way!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my third graders need extra support with their mathematical skills. Our math block includes a "game" stations where board games (related to math concepts) are always needed.
There are 25 smart third graders and 26 brains (including their teacher) who are ready to take math to the next level.
My students are smart, energetic, and willing to learn. But who said that math had to be boring or even frightening? Well, not in my classroom.
My Project
When students can choose and enjoy among several activities the last 10 minutes of the day, but rather choose to play Math Games, I think, "YES!" This is a teacher's dream and yes, I have seen this happening in my classroom with the very few resources I have purchased on my own.
These resources will be used by students who know that math is not only fun, but also competitive.
The United States has fallen further behind in math.
Administrators, teachers, and parents are left wondering what they could do?
The answer is not test prep, or drills, but rather FULL STUDENT ENGAGEMENT. The right math games DO this, and with your support you will make this happen.
