This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
According to the National Science Foundation, " To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past."
I work with an amazing group of children who are eager to learn.
I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes when we get ready for school every day. My students come from diverse backgrounds which makes them unique. Many of my students come from low-income families; however, they are the best kids on the planet.
Pursuing an occupation in STEM or becoming engaged with STEM at a young age will open countless doors for a lifetime. As an educator, I feel it is my responsibility to provide my students with every possible exciting opportunity to learn about the fields. The students will have the opportunity to design and build cool circuits and draw their creations at the end. The robots will allow me to have an exciting introduction to problem-solving, following directions, and creating working electronic circuits and devices. The kit will allow students to have a scientific experimental model that demonstrates sound, light, and electricity.
My students need a fun and interactive way to learn about working together.
This will give them the opportunity to strengthen their critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills and reflect on their entry’s performance and what they could do to improve it.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
