Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the best! I wouldn't ask for anything different. They are amazing! My students are energetic, loving, and kind! When I enter the classroom, my students are ready and eager to learn. They are technologically savvy and quick thinkers! My students are respectful, caring and helpful to anyone who enters their classroom. They are my sponges ready to soak up any information that they can. I work in a disadvantaged community in the South Bronx. Although their community is disadvantaged, I strive to change that when they enter my classroom. I like make sure they have everything they need to be educated like the schools in more affluent neighborhoods.
My students are my world!
My Project
Technology is a necessity in my classroom. It allows me to have students research information necessary to write reports or practice their literacy and math skills on iReady. Right now I have eleven Chromebooks in my classroom. Four of the Chromebooks were funded by a donor from DonorsChoose.org. Eight of the Chromebooks, I purchased myself. But one of our Chromebooks is missing! Being that my classroom has 30 students, everyone does not have access to a Chromebooks at the same time. Receiving more Chromebooks in the classroom will allow more students access to the technology they need to be successful in today’s technology driven society.
