My Students

Worrying about food, money, transportation, and clothing are adult worries, yet many of the students at my school face these "grown-up" problems each day. In spite of the challenges they face, they constantly rise to the occasion and frequently blow me away with their abilities to learn.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Some have, and some do not. It is my job to level their playing field so that all have a chance to be successful. Through hands-on, exciting, and active assessment, all students in my second grade, inner-city classroom prove themselves time and time again.

My Project

Recently, my classroom has received amazing technology from generous patrons here on Donors Choose: iPads, laptops, etc. The opportunities that are invading my classroom grow more numerous every day. My students are able to research, create, and design projects using the tools we have, yet printing their work remains a dilemma. It is difficult to gather up 5 laptops and connect them one at a time to a hard wired printer. I am requesting a wireless printer and ink so that my students can print their creations as they work with partners in various subjects throughout the day. This wireless printer will turn our classroom into a fully functioning computer lab. Please consider partnering with me as I strive to give my students the education they need.

My kids are the best!

They deserve the best in every aspect of life, especially in their education.
