My Students
My students attend a Title I school in Pennsylvania, and all receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast. They attend a typical, inner-city school. Most face serious obstacles before they even walk through the doors in the morning. Our goal is to make our school a safe and loving environment.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and different countries.
This makes our school pretty special in so many ways. The students all work so hard and are very deserving of this project.
My Project
Reading is one of my biggest joys in life and I love giving this to my students. My students don’t have access to a school library to check out books so I started a library in my classroom. They can come in at any time and take a book to read at school and at home. They then can trade it back in for another whenever they are finished. If they fall in love with a series or author they can give me a book request and I will do my best to get the books they request. It is so important to encourage their love of reading.
