My Project

Help give my students an opportunity for interactive learning and high engagement! Our first thematic unit features the narrative nonfiction anchor text "Camping with the President" by Ginger Wadsworth. Students will practice benchmarks including asking and answering questions while reading, cause and effect text structure, determining the author's perspective, comparing primary and secondary sources, and discussing a narrative nonfiction text. At the end of the unit, students will write a "smores paragraph" which includes their argument, their facts, details, and explanations, and their closing statement. Let's make learning fun for our students!
