Camp Week: Full Steam Ahead

Help me give my students an outdoor camping experience with activities to help them explore nature and promote STEAM education.

My Project

Many of our 1st grade students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have opportunities that promote creativity, collaboration, problem solving and social skills. Students will be actively engaged in constructing projects such as birdhouses, airplanes, boats, and cars. These projects have real life connections to science, engineering, arts, and math.

These STEAM projects would stimulate my students' creativity, critical thinking, problem solving skills and more while being actively engaged

with nature. Funding my project will provide 31 students with an opportunity to develop skills necessary for their future.
