My Students

My students are amazing! My attendance rate is 99-100% every day. They show up and are super eager to learn. Many have family income limitations but don’t let that stop them at all. I am new to MMSA and came in 3 weeks into the school year. The students “met” me online with such enthusiasm it honestly made me tear up.

My Project

Hi! I’m a new teacher 4th grade working to build a class family library from the group up. I’d love to fill my library with books featuring many different cultures, ethnicities, faces, abilities, and genders - just like my class! While we have been learning virtually, digital books have helped disprove my students reading skills. Digital books are great but nothing compares to curling up on a comfy cushion with an actual book and turning real pages! Reading was a fantastic journey to new worlds for me as a child and I cannot wait to share that with my new friends!
