it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our yearbook students need a high-quality camera and lens to capture the essence of our school community through events, sports, and everyday moments. With a dedicated cameras, students will develop photography and storytelling skills as they document school life for the yearbook. This hands-on experience will teach them composition, lighting, and technical camera settings while fostering creativity and teamwork.
Currently, students rely on one camera and their smartphones, which limit image quality and learning opportunities.
A mirrorless camera with a versatile lens will allow them to take professional-grade photos, enhancing the yearbook and school publications. This investment will not only improve our yearbook but also provide students with real-world skills in photography, journalism, and media production. Students will be able to take ownership of their storytelling, build lasting memories for the school, and explore potential career paths in photography and visual arts.
