Calming Zone: Creating A Way To LEGO and Reset

My Project

I love the energy and inquisitive nature of the students in my seventh grade social studies class. These items will be used during designated "reset" times, such as when students are feeling overwhelmed, transitioning between tasks, or returning from high-energy activities. Legos provide a constructive and calming outlet that promotes focus, creativity, and fine motor engagement, while fidget tools offer sensory input that helps with self-regulation and stress relief.

Students will be encouraged to use these resources as part of a structured routine in our classroom’s “Calm Corner,” a safe space for reflection and emotional reset.

The use of Legos encourages problem-solving and mindfulness, while fidget tools provide quiet, discreet sensory support during learning.

By providing access to calming tools like Legos and fidgets, I will empower students with strategies to manage their emotions independently and re-engage with learning in a positive way. Thank you for considering this request to help create a more supportive and effective learning environment for all students.
