This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My special needs students enjoy the use of technology. Having an iPad they can use on the go to help them regulate their emotions when struggling with a situation would be invaluable. They come to my class to train in a work environment for future employment. However, at times, they come with issues they face at school and at home. Technology can help students at any age because they can escape their issues for a short time and listen to calming sounds or a nice song or look up relaxing pictures.
An iPad will help them look up stories and songs to help them destress and calm them in the community.
Since we are mobile and in the community daily, we don't have a lot of room to have a full desktop computer so having an iPad for the students to use is beneficial and space saving.
