Calming Spaces: An Environment Where We Can Thrive!

Help me give my students neutral and calming seating options and a new shelf for their classroom library.

My Project

The requested materials in this project will help me to create a more calm and nurturing environment for my kiddos. As we discover more research about the best environments for our students to learn in, we are slowly moving away from bright, rainbow, and neon-type decor. A more neutral space helps to keep younger students focused and alert without so many distractions.

We are requesting two new carpets, wobble seats, and a small shelf for our classroom.

The large carpet will replace our current rainbow-style rug for our whole group class meetings. The small alphabet rug will make an excellent addition to our library, carrying on the literacy theme. The shelf will make our favorite texts more accessible, and the wobble seats will help students get out their wiggles when they need support focusing.
