it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher dedicated to supporting my students' well-being, I am requesting materials to create a mental health-safe space in my classroom. This space will offer students a place to relax, decompress, and engage in calming activities during stressful moments. With a popcorn machine, a cornhole game set, mini canvases and easels, and paper bags for the popcorn, I will be able to provide students with an assortment of creative and fun activities. The popcorn machine will offer a comforting snack, while the cornhole game set will encourage light physical activity, helping students relieve stress. The mini canvases and easels will give students an opportunity to express themselves through art, offering an emotional outlet and a way to engage with their feelings in a positive and creative way.
These supplies will create a nurturing environment where students can feel safe and supported in their emotional journeys.
Art and play are powerful tools in reducing stress and promoting mental health, and with your generous donation, my students will have the chance to engage in these activities regularly. This space will be an essential part of helping them manage anxiety and stress while building resilience and emotional strength.
