Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a semi quiet space, but is still distracting from the noisy classroom. Students sometimes need a place to think, cry, or calm down.
I would LOVE to give them a quiet, calming space within the room where they can go and refocus when they are feeling overwhelmed.
Young children must develop coping skills in order to thrive in our school system.
A nice comfy chair, canceling earphones, and tactile materials is what my students need to calm down and be able to gather their emotions to be able to rejoin the class already in session. Perfect age to start learning about self management & control!
