This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My resilient students live in an urban area and they want to become stronger readers. As struggling Title I students they are learning to self-regulate and set new reading goals; sitting on a bean bag chair can help a student focus on their literacy skills while working on independent social emotional skills.
Many of my students live in multiple family homes and don’t have a quiet reading space.
Help my students enjoy a relaxing reading experience to reach their academic literacy goals.
Also, my students would benefit from a social media break by focusing on some quiet independent reading time in an inviting area.
