This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My high school students love to work with microscopes. Microscopes in my classroom help build focus, attention to detail, and fine motor skills which build a sense of calm. Activities with microscopes are great stress relief activities. We have found that using a variety of microscope activities will help students as a de-escalation and have shown positive calming results. This project will also provide students with the ability to use microscopes often in my classroom, which will help provide additional stress relief as well as calm to our classroom. These calming microscope activities will help us meet grade-level standards. This project will be a positive benefit to all of my students.
