This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being an Early Childhood educator, I have tried my best to create a warm and welcoming environment in my classroom. I have an amazing group of three and four-year-old students who are still learning how to appropriately manage their emotions whether they are happy, sad, angry, or an emotion they are unable to label just yet.
The materials in this project will allow me to update my cozy corner using curtains to create a smaller space for those who prefer a smaller space to help them self regulate.
The cozy corner is a place where children can sit and utilize the sensory and social-emotional tools available in this center to help them cope with their feelings throughout the school year.
The sensory toys will be the tools students use to help them calm themselves when their emotions seems too big to handle.
