My Students

I am the school counselor at an elementary school. My school is Title I and is located in Garland, Texas, but we are a part of the excellent Mesquite ISD.

My students are very passionate and have a zest for learning.

They all truly aim to please.

My Project

As a school counselor for Pre-K- 5th-grade students, it's vital that I have an office that is safe, inviting, and welcoming to all. Daily, I help and provide support to all students with counseling, book studies, and daily social-emotional support. Our counseling corner is being revamped to encourage students to have a more calming experience during their difficult transitions.

An organized counseling corner will make it possible for my students to search for books to keep them interested in reading and help them improve their social and emotional wellness.

My students love to borrow the books from my office, but we need new bookshelves so that our materials can be easily identified and used during counseling sessions. Thank you for your consideration in helping us get organized.
