Calming Corner

Help me give my students a calm and inviting environment to rest and reset. Help me prepare students to manage tricky situations, big feelings and unhelpful impulses through games, books and activities.

My Project

As a new School Social Worker, I am preparing space for students to be comfortable during sessions and when they need space to reset after an incident. I am building my supplies of activities and games to provide students with opportunities to practice coping with challenging situations, big feelings and unhelpful impulses.

My students struggle with impulse control, anger management, low self-esteem, anxiety and PTSD.

Providing a space where they feel physically and emotionally comfortable is crucial for their learning and growth. Please help me fill my shelves with activities and comforting materials to better address the needs of the students I serve.
