This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing and resilient, but we still continue to see anxiety having a major impact on their education. My goal is to be able to reduce those factors by having a space they can retreat to.
In our Calming Corner, students can hang out, listen to some relaxing sounds and music, relax using fidget toys or sit in a comfy chair.
After relaxing they can be ready to learn and return to class. A safe and sensory soothing place at school for my students would be a game changer.
