Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will be using this space to regulate their emotions, practice calming techniques and help with de-escalation. This calm area will be a designated space with the sole intent of being a safe space for a student to go to when they feel their emotions are running too high and they need to regain their emotional and physical control. The puppets, games, and furniture will be used to set up a welcoming calm counseling office with tools the kids can use as a break (10-15 min) from the stressors they develop in the classroom and/or home life. Help me enhance the counseling environment at my schools!
