My Students
The students at my school are so amazing. They have been resilient and brave this year returning to school in a hybrid model. They are wearing their masks like champs and never complain. They are so happy to be back at school with their friends and teachers. I would like to do a little project to help support them during this difficult time.
My Project
I am so grateful to have been moved to a lovely new office space this year after construction. However, it is now time to make it a special and safe space for my students to enjoy. As the School Counselor, my main role is to make sure the students are feeling calm, safe, and relaxed so they are ready to learn and succeed.
This year has been a difficult one for all but we are so happy to be back in a hybrid model.
The students have been amazing with wearing their masks and keeping their distance. However, there are days the students feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. I have decided it is time to create my office space into one they can come and enjoy when they are experiencing those feelings and need to take a break.
What better way to use my space than creating a calming corner for all students to enjoy when they need a little space and a break from the everyday stressors. The calming corner will include a tent, some beanbags, books, an essential oil diffuser, fidgets, and stuffed animals.
I thank you for helping with my project. I'm hoping to make it the coziest calming corner around!
