This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me give my students calming corner and phone storage tools to help them self-regulate and create a calm learning environment.

If my students know they can go to the calming corner and store their phones, they may feel more at ease in my classroom.

These calming corner materials in my classroom will make for more whole-body teaching, including their mental health. My calming corner will allow students who need frequent mental breaks or a place to understand their emotions to go as needed. Additionally, by storing their phones in pouches within eye view, they will be able to regulate their need to look at their phones constantly.
