My Project
I work in a classroom with students affected with Autism. All the students in our room need a calm space to reset and refocus when they are overstimmulated so I want to provide that space for them. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, our students struggled to find that space at home to re-regulate when they were feeling overwhelmed. I want them to have that space in my classroom now that we are back in the school. This way, they will be able to explore different activities when they are overstimulated so that they can get back on track and come back to the group to get work done. These materials will also provide students with fidgets.
