Calming Corner for Emotional Regulation & Reading

My Project

My 2nd-grade students are so resilient! Emotional regulation can be a hard concept for some students to grasp, but it is such an important skill to learn in 2nd grade. Giving them a space to remain calm is imperative to their learning.

In this "Calming Corner," they will have access to teacher-selected Social Emotional Learning (SEL) books, materials, posters, and calming fidgets.

The pre-selected calming posters are a great way to help remind students how to breathe through, discuss, and regulate their emotions. All of these materials will help bring the students together to learn from each other and spend time together. They will gain confidence, resiliency, understanding of feelings, perseverance, and much, much more!
